Spend two days with Kerstin Neumüller - Swedish Craftswoman, Woodworker, Textile Artist, Designer and Author of five books celebrating traditional craft. On this two day workshop you will spend the first day being instructed on carving your very own Heddle. Day two you will learn how to weave on your heddle, design patterns and spend two days with this amazingly talented Swedish craftswoman. 

From Kerstin: Carve your own heddle and then weave bands on it! In this class I will show you how I carve heddles out of birch wood, and guide you through the process of making your own one. In the second day we will weave repp bands on our new weaving tools and I show you how to design your own band patterns, control the tension of the weave and many other useful tips and tricks! 

This class is suitable for both beginners and experienced craftspeople. Please note that we will be carving wood during the first day, so you need to have basic hand strength. 

All materials are included and all the tools required are supplied. 

Coffee and tea is available all day, morning tea is provided; BYO lunch. 

Class begins at 10.00am and will run through until 4.00pm. 

Workshop Address: Rundell & Rundell Workshop: 8 Trentham Road, Tylden. To enter the workshop, take the first driveway on Ewing Street - you will see the workshop at the rear of the property. 

Tylden is near Woodend and Kyneton in Victoria's Macedon Ranges.

Positions are strictly limited to ten people on this workshop. Due to course preparation, international instructor and potential wait lists; if a position is cancelled less than four weeks prior to the start date, we are sorry, but 50% of your deposit payment is not refundable. You may transfer or pass on this course booking (for this date only) to another person if you are unable to attend.
