Perch Stool Workshop: 18 - 20 APRIL 2025 ( $890 )
A 'Perch' is a beautifully crafted, contemporary three legged Windsor stool. Hand crafted in three consecutive days. Participants will be introduced to working on a wood lathe and on day one, learn to turn legs on the finest Australian made Vicmarc, variable speed long bed lathes.
On day two you are introduced to a wide range of traditional chairmaking hand tools and will shape and carve the seat and drill and ream the leg mortises by hand & eye. The final day - you will measure and turn your stretchers and assemble your perch with traditional hide glue before trimming legs and finish shaping the seat - ready to take home.
